Biodiversity counts!

Environment
Land Management
Regrettably, this lowland tropical zone of the Osa Peninsula is currently under questionable management: cattle pastures and monocultures dominate and parks are often just lines on a map.  Still, within this dense ecological area lies a rich tradition of culture and agriculture, to say nothing of resilient wildlife. Our project is to re-cultivate and regenerate efficiently, ultimately building a vast store of knowledge and resources.
We’re inspired by the intricate mass of Nature’s domain here: 2% of the world’s biodiversity is in our backyard, an amount greater than that of all of N. America.
